The Ecoline by Hobart EDL-1 door-type dishmachine uses chemicals and 23⁄25 of a gallon of water per rack to sanitize 42 racks in one hour, or 1,050 dishes per hour when the average load is 25 dishes per rack. Incoming water must be between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit, and a 2-kilowatt electric heating unit warms the water to reach proper sanitization temperatures. Its intuitive user interface provides a digital temperature display, and to ease operation, it features one standard cycle option. Once the door is shut, the unit automatically initiates a soft start to minimize the risk of damaging dishes. Because it has a recirculating design, it filters and reuses hot water to save energy for continuous cycles. For thorough, effective cleaning and rinsing, it’s built with a snap-in revolving upper and lower anti-clogging wash and rinse arm.

The Ecoline by Hobart EDL-1 dishwasher features an automatic fill and an automatic pumped drain, and staff can remove food debris from the two-part stainless steel scrap screen. To minimize limescale buildup for smooth operation, employees can initiate the deliming cycle, which circulates deliming chemicals throughout the unit. Chemical visual indicators provide a view of sanitizing chemical levels so users can gauge when the chemicals need to be refilled. Service diagnostics provide error notifications so staff can quickly pinpoint and address operational issues.
